Risk Management Director manages and administers an organization's risk-management programs. Implements policies, procedures, and controls to monitor and minimize the risk exposure of assets. Being a Risk Management Director researches internal and external risk factors including economic, market, and regulatory risks that may affect the organization. Routinely evaluates the effectiveness of procedures and collaborates with internal stakeholders to monitor changes in the business environment. Additionally, Risk Management Director manages statistical analysis and designing of financial models to predict the risk exposure of an organization's assets. Reviews risk analysis reports to ensure risks are identified and managed effectively. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Risk Management Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Risk Management Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.   • POSITION DESCRIPTION:  The role of the Safety Coordinator will be to establish and promote a safe and healthy work environment at all locations. This person will also ensure safety policies and programs are effective in helping to prevent accidents and injuries throughout the company by performing the following duties:

     

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

    • Develop, evaluate, and enforce all safety programs and policies.
    • Conduct on-site safety inspections & audits.
    • Perform employee safety training onsite and virtually.
    • Conduct safety meetings with each facilities safety committee.
    • Complete incident investigations to determine root causes and appropriate corrective actions.
    • Manage Worker’s Compensation claims and the Return To Work Policy
    • Maintain all record-keeping requirements such as OSHA Logs for multiple facilities.
    • Create and analyze loss data to identify trends in accidents and injuries.
    • Compile and analyze key performance indicators regarding each facilities safety performance.
    • Conduct risk assessments for specific jobs and/or tasks being performed.
    • Continuously promote safety initiatives by working safely and leading by example.
    • Ability to work in an agricultural setting, both indoors and outdoors.
    • Available to travel and work weekends as needed.
    • Ability to work from heights.

     

     

    QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

    • Computer experience, specifically using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
    • Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
    • Good organizational skills and a detail-oriented work ethic.
    • Proficient written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others.
    • Self-motivated in setting objective, goals, and standards for the company and personally.
    • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
    • 2 years working experience at Rose Acres or 2 years safety experience preferred but not required.
    • Being fluent in English and Spanish is preferred but not required.

     

    WORK ENVIRONMENT:

    • Must possess the ability to work in an agricultural environment, indoors, outdoors, office, warehouse, processing, and farm production areas each varying in temperature, and other environment specific atmospheres.
    • Must be willing and able to work past the scheduled leave time to complete the job, if needed.
    • Must possess the ability to work in an open office setting.
    • Must maintain professionalism with coworkers.
