Accounting Specialist/Cash Management

POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a dedicated and strategic Accounting Specialist to join our cash management team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the company's cash process, managing banking relationships, and ensuring the efficiency and of our financial transactions. Your expertise will be pivotal in optimizing our cash management systems and driving our organization's financial stability. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in managing the daily cash 
• Oversee the company's bank accounts and maintain banking relationships
• Prepare and present cash management reports to senior management
• Collaborate with the accounting team to reconcile cash transactions and ensure accuracy 
• Manage relationships with financial service providers, including merchant services 
• Support the strategic planning process by providing insights and recommendations related to cash flow projections and capital requirements.
• Ensure compliance with tax, legal, and audit requirements with respect to cash management activities and reporting.
• Respond to and resolve inquiries

QUALIFICATIONS/POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.)
• Strong understanding of banking relationships 
• Proficiency in financial software and systems, including ERP and Treasury Management Systems
• Experience with bank reconciliations
• Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
• Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work collaboratively across departmental functions
