Risk Management Nurse Leader

  • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Risk Management Program Nursing Leader to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and administering risk management programs, and ensuring compliance with safety legislation, JCAHO, HIPAA, and industry practices. You will also coordinate and develop hospital-wide programs for quality patient care and risk-free services. As the liaison to attorneys, insurance companies, and individuals, you will play a crucial role in investigating any incidents that may result in asset loss.

    Responsibilities:
    • Develop and administer risk management programs
    • Create and modify policies to comply with safety legislation and industry practices
    • Coordinate and develop hospital-wide programs for quality patient care
    • Investigate incidents that may result in asset loss
    • Lead and direct the work of others
    • Ensure compliance with JCAHO, HIPAA, and industry standards
    • Provide guidance and support to staff on risk management practices
    • Collaborate with various departments to implement risk management strategies
    • Stay updated on current trends and best practices in risk management
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in a related area
    • 7-10 years of experience in the field preferred
    • Current RN license required
    • Familiarity with a variety of risk management concepts, practices, and procedures
    • Strong understanding of safety legislation, JCAHO, HIPAA, and industry standards
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
