Road Service Tire Technician performs tire and tire-related services at the customer's location, on the road, or any other location, according to customer requirements. Mounts, demounts, balances and repairs commercial and other tires and wheels. Being a Road Service Tire Technician organizes the work site, the vehicles and the appropriate tools and equipment for optimum job efficiency and safety. Follows established procedures to inspect tires, wheels and vehicles before and after service, and notes other needed services; makes recommendations to customer. Additionally, Road Service Tire Technician typically requires an associate degree or equivalent, and requires appropriate TIA certification. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Road Service Tire Technician works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Starting pay at $18.00 hour for EXPERIENCED tire tech. Monday - Friday 7:30am - 5pm Need to be able to change tires, balance tires, rotations, flat repairs, and must be comfortable with working with large over size tires, i.e., 35s and 37s. Be able to lift at least 50 pounds. Work efficiently and work well with others. Need someone energetic and willing to put forth the effort it takes to get everything done in a timely manner. We are a fast paced shop that does a lot of work daily and we need someone to keep up and get work done quickly and without errors.
