General Summary of Job Duties

The Chef Tournant will be responsible for preparing and cooking food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklists while supporting multiple Restaurant Outlets.

Essential Job Function and Duties

• Assist Outlet Room Chef with daily activities for assigned outlet.
• Act as relief chef when needed for various outlets.
• Provide training for Team Members to ensure they are meeting company expectations and standards while enforcing food specifications, portion control, recipe standards and sanitation.
• Inspect storage areas for organization and rectify any deficiencies.
• Communicate with guests and other employees to ensure guests’ needs are met.
• Ensure that the staff is working together.
• Assist management in hiring and training, scheduling, evaluating, coaching and motivating Team Members and serve as a role model.
• Follow all company and safety and security polices and procedures.
• Report any problems, safety hazards and accidents or injuries to the Executive Chef.
• Support all co-workers a treat them with respect, and to reach common goals of the department.
• Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.

• Ability to accept performance feedback in a professional manner.
• Arrive on time and ensure regular attendance to all scheduled shifts and/or meetings.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills, Education and Other Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience with knowledge and experience in all aspects of kitchen operations.
• Previous supervisory experience is a plus.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
• Must present a well-groomed appearance.

• The ability to successfully interact with all levels of team members and management.

• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, with variable overtime.

• Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights and dust.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
