Key Responsibilities:
- Meet or exceed standards for safe work conditions and cleanliness with the goal of a completely Injury Free Workplace
- Examine work to detect defects and adjust machinery as needed to correct production problems
- Ensure quality standards and processes are followed to reduce customer complaints
- Ensure correct materials are used to meet customer specifications
- Maximize efficiency of equipment by operating at highest speed and capacity
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and housekeeping at both machine and facility
- Willingness to learn and assist Operators with job duties on the machine
- Read and interpret all customer specifications to ensure correct customer orders
- Ensure all company safety policies are in effect at all times and report any concerns related to machine repair or maintenance
- Other duties as assigned
- Responsible for unitization per customer specifications
- Responsible for setting and meeting all quality and efficiency standards
- Lead by Example and champion Nashville Box culture via all employee involvement and initiatives by building, improving, and maintaining productive and engaged relationships with coworkers
- Maintain a production schedule to correlate with customer demand
- Complete production reports in a timely and accurate manner
- Other duties as assigned
Physical Demands:
- Standing continuously, depending on job assignment, for extended periods
- Ability to twist neck and back and fingering frequently (50-100% of the time)
- Ability to balance, stoop, bend, squat, climb, twist, handle, feel, reach above shoulder level, at or below shoulder level, over 18” and to reach to the floor, and kneel occasionally (50-100% of the time)
- Lifting up to 50 lbs. (33-67% of the time)
- Typing and computer skills are a plus
- Requires repetitive use of both hands for simple grasping
- Ability to read, write, hear, see, speak
- Reading computer screen or other electronic devices
- Work in areas of fluctuating temperature and loud noises
- PPE required: Steel-toed/safety footwear, Safety Glasses, Hearing Protection, Cut-Resistant Safety Gloves as required
