Summary
Under the direction of the Freezer Warehouse Supervisor at the Division St. freezer, the Freezer Forklift Operator is responsible for the product movement within the freezer. This includes putting away product, pulling and staging orders, and loading orders on trailers. In conjunction with other team members, this person will also be responsible for the cleanliness and upkeep of the freezer. This position is responsible for the proper storage of finished goods and ingredients in accordance with manufacturers recommendations, internal food safety requirements, and FDA, WDATCP, SQF, and USDA regulatory requirements. Warehouse/Forklift Operator position works in the Freezer Warehouse which means working in a freezing cold environment (-20 degrees F).
Shift Hours: 7:00am to 3:00pm Monday-Friday and some mandatory Saturdays
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management deem necessary.
1. Safe operation of all powered industrial equipment. This includes pre-shift inspections.
2. Ensure that all finished products and frozen ingredients are stored in accordance with manufacturers recommendations, internal food safety requirements, and FDA, WDATCP, SQF, and USDA regulatory requirements.
3. Ensure the accuracy of completed loads and all accompanying documentation and paperwork.
4. Ensure that all quality ON HOLD product is captured and labeled in an efficient and timely manner. Ensure ON HOLD inventory is segregated in the ON HOLD inventory area. Complete all ON HOLD paperwork.
5. Adhere to lot code tracking program that has been established by Schoeps Ice Cream and that is regulated by the FDA. Use of a first in/first out (FIFO) policy to ensure proper lot code rotation.
6. Ensure the accurate completion of all required freezer/distribution paperwork, records, documentations and lot code tracking records.
7. Ensure compliance of all safety and work rules
8. Help promote a safe, secure and positive work environment for all Schoeps Ice Cream employees.
9. Communicate needed repairs and maintenance of freezer equipment, storage racks and freezer infrastructure to maintenance staff verbally and/or through written work orders.
Must be able to work in a cold environment (-20 degrees F)
