Safety/Loss Prevention Manager - Construction is responsible for developing, maintaining, and managing the safety and loss prevention program for a company's construction department. Ensures that each project site conforms to all applicable safety regulations. Being a Safety/Loss Prevention Manager - Construction is responsible for assigning safety inspectors to sites and ensuring that follow-ups are conducted when necessary.   • _ To provide CM support for utility modernization, and facility construction/rehabilitation at Yellowstone National Park. This will be a nine primary construction contracts for which CMR services will be requested but there may be additional projects during the BPA POP. Additional contract phases may be identified in addition to those identified herein. A brief description of the proposed construction contracts and anticipated construction periods is provided here:_

    i. Old Faithful Water Treatment Plant – This Project will rehabilitate the Old Faithful Water Treatment Plant and raw water intake. Work includes construction of a new water treatment plant process building, civil site work (including the construction of a soil nail wall to reinforce the wall of the pre-sedimentation pond slope which is failing), modifications to the backwash ponds and pumphouse, rehabilitation of the raw water intake on the Firehole River, and demolition of the existing water treatment plant and other obsolete facilities.

    ii. Grant Wastewater Treatment Plant, Grant Collection System rehabilitation, Canyon Collection system rehabilitation -- This project will rehabilitate the Grant Wastewater Treatment Plant, portions of the Grant Village wastewater collection system, and portions of the Canyon Village wastewater System. Work includes the construction of a new headworks and septage receiving facility, a new MBR treatment process building, a new solids handling/dewatering facility, modifications to the percolation ponds, installation of a new backup generator, civil site work, and demolition of the existing plant facilities. The project includes repair/replacement of portions of the Collection system through various methods, including but not limited to, open trench, CIPP, pipe-bursting, lip-lining, spot repairs, and manhole repairs/replacement.

    iii. Old Faithful Wastewater Treatment Plant and Collection system rehabilitation – This project will rehabilitate the existing Old Faithful Wastewater Treatment plant and portions of the collection system. Work includes rehabilitation of the existing process building and updates to the process equipment, construction of a new headworks and septage receiving facility, construction of a new dewatering process building, and civil site work. The project also includes rehabilitation of portions of the collection system through various methods including but not limited to, CIPP, slip-lining, open trench, pipe-bursting, spot repairs, and manhole repairs/replacement.

    iv. Canyon Wastewater Treatment Plant – This Project will rehabilitate the existing Canyon Wastewater treatment plant including construction of new headworks and septage receiving station, a new MBR process facility, new UV disinfection system, new backup generator, civil site work, and demolition of obsolete facilities.

    v. Laurel Dorm Rehabilitation - Laurel Dorm rehabilitation and septage receiving station, a new MBR process facility, new UV disinfection system, new backup generator, civil site work, and demolition of obsolete facilities. This project will rehabilitate the exterior of this historic dorm at Old Faithful and convert it to an apartment building for NPS staff. Work includes restoring historic windows and other unique building features; replacing existing siding; rehabilitating the roof; completely gutting the interior and replacing existing walls, doors, HVAC and utility systems; installing an elevator; replacing the crawl space foundation piers with a new support system; connecting to existing electrical and water utilities; installing a new sewer service, which will require directional drilling under a creek; and site work, including parking lot paving, concrete walkways and drainage improvements. The exterior building rehabilitation must be done in accordance with the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties.

    vi. Fort Yellowstone District Building Exteriors Rehabilitation – This project will rehabilitate the exteriors of at least 8 (and up to 16) residential buildings in the Fort Yellowstone Historic District. Work includes restoring historic windows and doors; restoring existing siding; replacement of roof tiles; seismic bracing of chimneys; repointing and minor repair of foundations; and site work, including installation of new sidewalks, grading and drainage improvements and installation of an irrigation system. The exterior building rehabilitation must be done in accordance with the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties.

    vii. Mammoth-Gardiner Sewer Line Replacement – This project will either replace the wastewater conveyance line from Mammoth to Gardiner, Montana, that was destroyed by flooding in 2022, or upgrade the temporary and hastily-constructed wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) that has received Mammoth’s wastewater since the flood for permanent use. Depending on which option is selected, and on the alignment of the sewer line, work could include installation of gravity sewer mains and manholes, installation of lift station(s) and force main(s) or process and site improvements at the temporary, three-train membrane bioreactor WWTP. The new wastewater line would be approximately 4.5 miles in length and may coincide with a Federal Highways Administration project to replace the park’s North Entry Road from Gardiner.3. Period of Performance:

    viii. Demolition of Abandoned Old Faithful Wastewater Treatment Plant: This project will demolish the existing facilities at the abandoned Old Faithful Wastewater Treatment Plant. A majority of this wastewater treatment plant was constructed in the 1970 and decommissioned in 2000 with the construction of the new wastewater treatment plant. Existing structures inside include various cast-in-place concrete structures including, but not limited to, drying beds, clarifiers, aerobic digesters, the blower and process building, and a concrete septic tank. There are additional wood frame structures and concrete foundations onsite. The whole facility will be demolished to five feet below grade and the site reclaimed for use as Construction Staging and Contractor RV sites (a separate project). The existing pump station and backup generator for the current wastewater treatment plant is also on this site and will remain in place. viii. Mammoth Sewer I&I:

    ix. Old Faithful Contractor RV sites: This project will develop a Contractor RV site in the Old Faithful Government area and will encompass land at the Abandoned Old Faithful Wastewater Treatment plant and land just North of the Abandoned Old Faithful Wastewater Treatment plant site. The project will include a new road off Yellowstone “Grand Loop Road” to access the site and will include road development, and utility placement to accommodate approx. 50 RV sites with full hookups (electrical, potable water, sewer)

    x. Mammoth Collection System I/I: This project will rehabilitate portions of the Mammoth Sewer Collection System including sections of sewer pipes as well as various manholes. The goal of the project will be to reduce known locations of high Infiltration and Inflow. Rehabilitation methods will include both open trench and trenchless methods (CIPP, slip lining, HDD, and pipe bursting). Phasing and by-pass will be a challenge on this project as the Collection System will need to remain operational for the duration of this project.

    xi. Multiple RV/modular/contractor housing developments: This project will install various RV and/or modular housing developments throughout Yellowstone National Park. Locations, sizes, and details of the developments are as yet un-decided. There may be between 1-5 developments.

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $110,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
