Safety Representative outlines and implements training programs to educate and inform workforce on work safety, environmental safety, and accident prevention regulations and procedures. Develops and distributes educational materials including videos, guides, and posters. Being a Safety Representative tracks and documents accidents to understand causes and recommend changes to prevent future accidents. Performs inspections and audits of facilities, equipment and processes recommending corrections or additional precautions to ensure compliance to established regulations. Additionally, Safety Representative has a broad and current knowledge of all government and applicable industry safety regulations. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Safety Representative works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Work is closely managed. - Observes and benchmarks other Service Representatives and Sales Executives to establish and replicate best practices.
- Consistently introduces and implements new products and service to assigned accounts.
- Achieves and Maintains First Aid and CPR Certification and Fire Extinguisher Inspection License.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Experience & Qualifications:- High School Diploma or GED required. College degree preferred.
- Familiar with codes, products attributes, and procedures within the safety field.
- Has a general awareness of business, financials, sales, and safety principles.
- Strong ability to utilize technology to increase the customer experience.
- Adequate skill with Microsoft products such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Professional certification may be required in some areas.
- Maintain a valid driver's license and ability to pass a drug and background check.
Physical Requirements:- Regularly required to stand, walk, talk, hear and have full use of hands. The employee is occasionally required to sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
