General Summary: Safety/Rescue technicians will be required to maintain and service all equipment on his or her designated job sites. The Technician will also run the individual rescue job he or she is assigned to, deferring decision making power to Rescue Supervisors and Managers when so requested.
Details of Job Duties:
Leader of rescue jobs, deferring to supervisors and management when requested;
Oversee all on-site paperwork and permitting needs;
Oversee on-site Rescue team members;
Maintain and service rescue equipment;
Follow all Rescue Standard Operating Procedures and rule that are stated in the SSSI employee handbook;
Maintain customer relations in and out of the field;
Provide daily completed paperwork to Rescue Supervisor;
Uphold and honor the image and leadership roles that Signal Safety has built its reputation on;
Help maintain equipment quality and cleanliness;
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed; and
Aids other departments when workload allows.
Reporting:
Reports directly to SSSI’s Rescue Supervisor.
Qualifications: Willingness to do every job safely, Working knowledge of safety rules (OSHA, CAL-OSHA, NIOSH), HAZWOPER, Confined Space Training and related areas, Rescue experience, Customer Service, Self-Confidence, Product and Service Knowledge, Presentation Skills, and EMT Certification a plus.
