Your role will encompass:

• Estimating the costs of material handling and industrial automation projects by meticulously analyzing project plans, specifications, and requirements to generate precise cost estimates.
• Collaborating closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather essential information for estimating purposes.
• Conducting site visits and inspections to evaluate project scope and identify potential challenges or opportunities.
• Utilizing Microsoft Excel to meticulously craft detailed cost breakdowns and prepare compelling bid proposals in Microsoft Word for clients.
• Reviewing and negotiating contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions.
• Working harmoniously with internal colleagues to mitigate exposure to claims and avoid unnecessary monetary waste.
• Providing support for business development efforts, when requested, and being adaptable to travel as required to meet client needs.

This position is salaried and exempt, requiring prior professional experience.

Requirements

If you have five (5 ) years of estimating management experience with a focus on complex Baggage Handling Systems (BHS), &/or a proven track record in industrial automation industries, material handling, manufacturing, or construction, we want to hear from you.

Other essential qualifications include:

• A strong background in project estimating, particularly within the realm of industrial automation.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and intermediate to advanced Microsoft Word skills are a must.
• Proficient negotiation skills to secure favorable contract terms.
• The ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and technical documents with precision.
• A detail-oriented approach with a keen focus on accuracy in calculations and documentation.
• Effective, concise communication skills that facilitate collaboration.
