Sales Director directs sales organization operations and develops the tactics, operational plans, and processes to implement the organizational sales strategy, drive revenue growth, and accomplish financial objectives. Establishes and implements processes, tools, and structures to support the sales organization's operations. Being a Sales Director oversees goal setting for departmental and group levels of the sales organization and uses data and technology to measure and monitor sales processes, identify issues, and enhance performance. Implements methods and systems to effectively analyze and monitor the industry, business environment, and competitors and expand the customer base. Additionally, Sales Director uses market and customer insights to collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and suggest new products. The club is seeking an energetic, personable, and organized individual to develop and execute a membership sales & marketing program. Candidates must be well-polished, enthusiastic and demonstrate success in membership recruitment. This position requires a self-starter with outside sales and marketing experience, preferably within the private club, hospitality or sporting club settings.
The Director of Membership Sales is responsible for maximizing membership recruitment through the successful formation and execution of a strategic sales and marketing effort, as well as through the development and maintenance of relationships with existing members, stakeholders, local community leaders and other various sales prospects. The position requires the ability to establish a track record of success and comfortability in utilizing professional sales and marketing skills to perform sales calls, generate qualified leads, execute marketing campaigns, manage a Club essentials CRM Program and actively develop and participate in outbound sales activities and networking events to create top-of-mind brand awareness within the community on behalf of the Club.
The Director of Membership Sales should have an in-depth understanding of the area market dynamics, specifically as it relates to private club membership recruitment. Responsible for enrolling new members into the Club at the minimum performance rate of achieving the Club’s membership sales plan goals.

A BA degree and experience in marketing, preferably with focus on marketing communications within a private club environment. Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential to articulate the club’s purpose and benefits. Inventiveness in developing these ideas and the social skills to represent the club are required.
A pleasant, outgoing personality is desirable, as well as general knowledge of private clubs, their culture, and their style of operation. Administrative skills are essential. Imagination and initiative are great assets.
Must be detail oriented. Must be able to work with all types of personalities in a diplomatic and pleasant manner. Must be computer literate. Must have a professional presence, business dress attire, and an upbeat, extrovert type personality.
The position is a non-exempt administration position and reports directly to the General Manager. Compensation for this opportunity is dependent on qualifications, experience, education, and professional development. Any offer of employment is dependent on the satisfactory results of a background check.
