The Sales Engineer prepares and delivers technical presentations explaining products or services to existing and prospective customers; coordinates with engineers to assess equipment needs and to determine system requirements and assists in the design and development of technical solutions and responses for construction projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Apply comprehension of service requests, integration needs and reporting analytics to review complex projects and translate SOW to team.
Translate customer requirements into currently offered solutions, and identify equipment, vendors, etc.
Identify business partners and products for completing sales pitches.
Attend various meetings and events to educate public, represent HW in technical Q&A.
After closing deals, collaborate with market GMs to review opportunities for increased revenue by identifying upsell verticals and services.
Use independent discretion to qualify subcontractors in the IoT space.
Assist market GMs in networking with potential customers regarding possibilities for solutions.
Actively design solutions and create BOM for high level finance modeling to determine go / no-go, sub-contractors needed, proper way to integrate etc.
Collaborate with other teams to develop content, including talking points and research for panel positions.
Attend sales meetings as technical expert.
Review written documentation for technical descriptions etc.
Project manage a team of contractors through implementation.
Other duties as required or assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Demonstrated ability and keen understanding of short-term and long-term sales plans with the ability to manage process through acquisition and implementation.
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a high-pressure environment to ensure deadlines are met pre and post-sale.
Must be able to provide own transportation to various locations in organizational service area.
