Sales Manager manages the sales teams and supporting operations required to implement the organizational sales strategy, drive revenue growth, and accomplish financial objectives. Implements processes, tools, and structures to support the sales organization's operations. Being a Sales Manager conducts long-term and short-term goal setting for teams and individuals and uses data to measure and monitor sales processes, identify issues, and enhance performance. Monitors the industry, business environment, competitors, and customers to develop action plans for expanding and retaining the customer base. Additionally, Sales Manager uses customer feedback and insights to collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and suggest new products. Builds and develops effective sales and support teams with recruiting, mentoring, and training. Participates in meetings, presentations, and demos to support or close strategic or high-value sales. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Sales Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Sales Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. We are recruiting for an Outside Sales Representative based in the Baltimore, Maryland, area. The successful candidate will sell our clients' Medical Devices. Our client is an innovative leader in the Surgical Magnification/Illumination industry. Their products are used daily worldwide during lifesaving microsurgical operations and cutting-edge dental procedures.
This position is for applicants with 1-3 years of successful sales or related professional work experience. We would consider an entry-level recent college graduate candidate with the right background.
Territory: Includes Baltimore and surrounding suburbs, Northern MD, and the Eastern Shore, Southeast, PA., Southern NJ, and Delaware, including 1-3 monthly overnights.
You will join a growing company and sell our client's surgical and dental visual enhancement. You will call on surgeons, hospitals, operating rooms, dentists, dental hygienists, surgical residency programs, dental schools, dental hygienist schools, and ophthalmologists.
Travel: This is a home-based position, and the monthly requirements are 30%, 1-3 Overnights per month. You will cover the entire territory. You will also fly and attend work conferences and trade shows 4 to 6 times yearly.
Responsibilities and Duties: 85% of your activity will involve following up on leads provided by the company. You will also meet with medical doctors, dental professionals, and hygienists who want to see you throughout your exclusive territory. In addition, our client attends several dozen professional conferences each year. The sales representatives will work at these meetings, typically four to six annually.
Qualifications and Skills: The candidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree, be organized and self-motivated, have excellent communication skills, and be able to work independently. They must also enjoy travel.
