Sales Manager manages the sales teams and supporting operations required to implement the organizational sales strategy, drive revenue growth, and accomplish financial objectives. Implements processes, tools, and structures to support the sales organization's operations. Being a Sales Manager conducts long-term and short-term goal setting for teams and individuals and uses data to measure and monitor sales processes, identify issues, and enhance performance. Monitors the industry, business environment, competitors, and customers to develop action plans for expanding and retaining the customer base. Additionally, Sales Manager uses customer feedback and insights to collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and suggest new products. Builds and develops effective sales and support teams with recruiting, mentoring, and training. Participates in meetings, presentations, and demos to support or close strategic or high-value sales. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Sales Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Sales Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Post Date: 1/25/2023Superior Equipment Sales Inc., an independent HVAC equipment and supplies distributor, is seeking a motivated and determined sales professional to help grow the company’s market share in the Richmond, VA area. Sales growth through new account acquisition will be the focus.
We are an employee-owned HVAC wholesaler whose goal is to provide superior customer service to contractors throughout Virginia and Northeastern, North Carolina. If you are looking to join a small team and make a big difference, we want to hear from you.
Job Requirements- Meet with residential and commercial HVAC contractors in order to uncover and secure new business opportunities.
- Develop extensive product knowledge in order to provide solutions to meet customer needs.
- Set and meet sales targets to increase revenue.
- Prepare customer quotes as needed, while delivering outstanding customer-focused service.
- Work with the General Manager and Pricing Manager to maintain competitive customer pricing.
- Monitor competition within the assigned region.
- Present new products, as well as manufacturer and distributor directed programs, to customers.
Skills & Experience
- BA/BS preferred, but any combination of education and experience is considered.
- Proven track record of increasing sales and revenue through field sales experience.
- HVAC/Plumbing/Electrical distribution experience is helpful, but not required.
- Excellent communication skills, as well as leadership ability.
