Sales Promotions Coordinator administers sales promotion campaigns that promote products and support the marketing and branding strategy of the organization. Assists in researching, evaluating and recommending tactics that enhance the market positioning of the organization's products or services. Being a Sales Promotions Coordinator works to create and convey brand messages to improve brand awareness and perception. Helps identify and evaluate promotional merchandise suppliers with the best pricing, products, and delivery options. Additionally, Sales Promotions Coordinator plans and coordinates distribution of materials with internal teams. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Sales Promotions Coordinator work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Basic Functions: Inside contact for outside salesmen to review, process, and place orders with vendors. Assist builders or other customers with orders at the front counter. Order special order millwork, mix paint orders, or other special order items for customers. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Responsibilities:
-Greet customers and give them efficient and courteous service
-Provide customers with information about our products and lead them in the right direction to make purchases in the store.
-Assist in maintaining good housekeeping
-Follow guidelines on safety, material handling and customer service as specified by supervisor
-Assist supervisor, other employees and other work areas as may be needed
-Provide assistance to Store Manager
-Be ready to begin work at the time specified by Store Manager
Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D.
Experience: 6 months experience with building materials and/or retail customer service preferred
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
· Ability to do arithmetic, read orders, identify material, write instructions, complete forms and computer knowledge
· Ability to communicate with customers, other employees and supervisors using verbal and written skills.
· Knowledge and ability to use safe lifting techniques
· Work well with others as a team
Physical Demands:
· Strength (lift, carry, push, pull) Frequently lift and/or carry up to 25 - 50 pounds
· Must be able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and reach with manual dexterity and see acute depth perception and field of vision
· Bend, stoop or squat to floor level
License or Certification: None required.
