Sales Representative - Licensed conducts business development and sales activities with existing consumer banking customers and new prospects to increase sales of financial products and expand the customer base. Develops leads with customer profile development, telemarketing, and promotional events. Being a Sales Representative - Licensed maintains a broad understanding and detailed knowledge of the current financial product offerings. Assesses customer needs, explains each product's characteristics and benefits, and makes recommendations that align with the customer's financial objectives. Additionally, Sales Representative - Licensed may require a bachelor's degree. Completion of the FINRA Series 6 Investment Company Products/Variable Contract Limited Representative qualification exam and any required state licensing is required. Also requires completion of the FINRA Series 63 Uniform Securities Agent State Law Examination and any state licensing. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Sales Representative - Licensed work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role.     The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) is the state agency that focuses solely on policies, programs, and services for people with mental health challenges, substance use disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities, or any combination of these. As Georgia’s public safety net, DBHDD operates six field offices and five hospitals throughout the state within three program areas: behavioral health, developmental disabilities, and hospital services.

    Georgia Regional Hospital at Savannah (GRHS) is a state-funded multi-service facility operated by the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities. The hospital provides quality care to mentally ill adults and individuals living with intellectual and developmental disabilities from its 34-county catchment area in Southeast Georgia. GRHS opened in December of 1970 with a design to decentralize mental health services in the state and treat people nearer to their homes and families. The hospital provides evaluation and treatment to clients needing care. The hospital's admitting office is a psychiatric emergency receiving facility open 24 hours a day.

    GRHS is seeking candidates for the position of Social Worker, Non-Licensed 2. This position will work on day shift (8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.)

    Job Description

    This position serves as the primary discharge planner for individuals who have been hospitalized for an extended period. This role will also require the ability to link individuals to appreciate services and resources in the community, complete assessments and referrals, and work collaboratively from a multi-disciplinary recovery perspective.

     

    Preferred Qualifications

    In addition to the State qualifications, preference will be give to candidates who possess some or all of the following:

    • Must have a Master's in Social Work (MSW), License-eligible
    • Experience working with persons with Mental Illness and/or Developmental Disability
    • Self-starter and able to work independently or with minimum supervision
    • Effective written and oral communication skills
    • Willingness to interact with others on an interdisciplinary treatment team
    • Experience and knowledge of discharge planning, interaction with legal systems, and the ability to interact with a multi-disciplinary team
    • Ability to utilize clinical skills
    • Ability to effectively complete documentation in a timely manner
