Sales Training Director oversees an organization's sales training programs to support an effective and motivated sales force. Associate Director, Sales Training

  • We are seeking an Associate Director, Sales Training to lead the training and development for Fetroja, a novel antibiotic currently promoted by our anti-infective hospital sales force. This individual will serve as the primary training lead for Fetroja and will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the training curriculum for Fetroja.

    The AD, Sales Training should have experience in the anti-infective market. This individual should have a strong knowledge base in infectious disease, microbiology and how hospital products are purchased, ordered, administered and established for formulary inclusion within the hospital setting.

    The ideal candidate will be a high-energy, detail-oriented, and self-motivated individual that excels in a fast-paced environment and is interested in joining a growing organization.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Content Development:

    • Ensure maximum effectiveness of new hires by developing content for all phases of Initial Sales Training; including disease state, product knowledge, selling skills, and business acumen workshops
    • Design and develop training materials for National and POA meetings to support marketing strategy
    • Evaluate and assess training needs, gaps, and trends to effectively update training curriculum
    • Partner with internal stakeholders to develop and maintain product & brand related sales training resources, workshops, and presentations to ensure content meet the needs of all stakeholders
    • Design and develop training content independently and with vendors. Manage vendors to ensure projects meet objectives, adhere to timelines, and remain within budget
    • Ensure all projects and materials have been approved through the Legal, Medical, and Regulatory review process before being disseminated

    Facilitation:

    • Facilitate new hire training classes, including virtual instructor led and live in person training
    • Responsible for facilitating workshops at National, POA, and Sales Leadership meetings

    MINIMUM JOB REQUIRMENTS 

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
    • Minimum 7 years in pharmaceutical industry, with at least 2 years in Sales and 2 years in Training
    • Experience in the anti-infective market is required
    • Strong knowledge base in infectious disease, microbiology and how hospital products are purchased, ordered, administered and established for formulary inclusion within the hospital setting
    • Deep understanding of hospital selling environment, including how to navigate institutions and systems in order to gain access and impact key decision makers
    • Leverage technology platforms such as: LMS, Adobe Connect, Articulate, Survey Monkey, WebEx, etc.
    • DM/Management experiences a plus

    Competencies

    • Solid Presentation and Facilitation skills with the ability to generate enthusiasm and credibility
    • Solid interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
    • Demonstrated project management skills along with strong attention to details
    • Ability to solve complex problems and deal with numerous variables in dynamic situations
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; advanced application in PowerPoint

    Other Requirements

    • Ability and willingness to travel approximately 25% of the year
    • Must live a commutable distance to our US Corporate Headquarters in Florham Park, NJ. Office presence required at least 3 days per week

    Essential Physical and Mental Requirements

    • Ability to articulate clearly and conduct verbal presentations with large and small audiences.
    • Ability to travel via automobile and/or airplane.
    • Ability to view video display terminal images < 18” away from face for extended period of time – up to four (4) hours at a time.
    • Ability to operate a computer keyboard and telephone.
    • Ability to sit for extended periods of time – up to four (4) hours at a time.
    • Ability to lift, tug, pull up to fifteen (15) pounds.
