We are now recruiting a full time Regional Maintenance Consultant to assist with preserving the good condition and functionality of various skilled nursing facility premises located within Florida.

Must have prior experience in a healthcare environment, preferably in a nursing home or Hospital and be able to travel daily to/from various facilities within Florida. Travel expenses reimbursed within IRS guidelines and company policies.

In this role, you will work as a Regional Maintenance Consultant and ensure that routine maintenance tasks such as painting, sanding, wiring, computer installations, landscaping, etc, are being routinely performed by facility Maintenance Directors. The Regional Maintenance Director is a thorough professional with a practical mind and attention to detail.

The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously and responsibly by observing all health and safety guidelines. The goal is to maintain the buildings and common areas in the best possible condition. MUST be able to travel and occasionally perform maintenance duties in the absence of, or with facility Maintenance Directors, maintain work flexibility to assist the I.T. Department with maintenance related duties such as cabling/wiring/and moving furniture associated with desktop computer and equipment setup.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Survey buildings and ensure the repair of mechanical systems is consistent with facility's health and safety standards and in compliance with federal/state guidelines.
• Ensure performance of maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels etc.) is being completed.
• Setup of ventilation, refrigeration and other systems and conduct repairs when necessary.
• Assist facility personnel with heating and plumbing systems maintenance to ensure functionality.
• Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when needed.
• Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows etc.).
• Ensure construction projects are planned and completed timely.
• Conduct general upkeep procedures (e.g. landscaping) and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry etc.
• Assist in budget preparation and ensure it is followed.
• Must be have the ability and willingness to collaborate with the IT Department in projects for facilities including but not limited to cabling/wiring/and moving furniture associated with desktop computer and equipment setup

REQUIREMENTS:

• Proven experience as Maintenance Director in a healthcare environment, additional construction experience extremely helpful.
• MUST have at least 3 years working in a regional capacity, consulting and/or working as part of Maintenance or Facility Operations supporting multiple entities.
• AHCA and JCAHO Knowledge a MUST
• Prior experience working in a hospital or skilled nursing facility.
• Familiarity with State/Federal guidelines related to safety standards and maintenance in long term care/hospital setting.
• General understanding of electrical, hydraulic and other systems.
• Extremely familiar with general maintenance processes and methods.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing to give instruction to various facility level employees and prepare daily/weekly reporting to management officials and other staff members.
• Computer experience necessary to draft and send emails, create memos and perform electronic evaluations of departmental team members.
• Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices.
• Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.
• Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to complete physical job tasks timely and satisfactorily.
• High school diploma or equivalent; Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology or relevant field.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
