Sarbanes Oxley Analyst implements and coordinates an organization's auditing strategy and activities for regulatory compliance. Deploys internal controls, best practices, and strategies to identify process deficiencies and implement improvements. Being a Sarbanes Oxley Analyst gathers, analyzes, and consolidates data for required regulatory reporting to fulfill content and scheduling requirements. Supports external regulatory inspections and internal audits and may coordinate document reviews, protocol reviews, validation reviews, and training programs as part of auditing processes. Under limited supervision, performs complex data entry and manipulation to create, maintain, display, update and analyze data in a comprehensive enterprise geographic information system (GIS) for Florence County. Position reports to the GIS Director.
Creates, edits, and analyzes geospatial databases and decision-making documents and maps using the ESRI ArcGIS software suite to include desktop, mobile and internet solutions.
Reviews and responds to requests for demographic information, reports, maps and data for the public; County departments; local, state and federal agencies; elected and appointed officials, and a variety of other sources.
Utilizes ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Mobile Apps and a host of ArcGIS extensions for network routing, map books, geocoding and the development of data models, etc.
Assists with the development, maintenance, updates and enhancement of Florence County mobile and internet mapping services.
Creates, utilizes and assists with the development of programming or automation applications in a variety of geospatial related macros, scripts, model builder, etc.
Utilizes GPS mapping grade equipment for field data pre-planning and collection in the development and expansion of the geospatial data layers.
Provides assistance and training in the use of GIS and GPS tools, software and websites to the public, county departments and a variety of other sources.
Researches and interprets source records and documents for input on GIS data layers.
Works with GIS Data Administrator as secondary contact to collaborate with E911 Addressing.
Coordinates efforts with other departments.
Handles special projects as assigned by the GIS Director.
GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Operates and/or utilizes a variety of office and other equipment including desktop and laptop computers, tablets, printer including large format plotter, scanner, GPS field data collector, vehicle, copier, etc.
Collects field data in a variety of weather conditions and locations.
Performs various clerical duties when necessary, including but not limited to document development using MS Office, copying and filing documents, answering the telephone, etc.
Works independently and within a team environment to accomplish department goals.
Willing to participate in knowledge sharing.
Interacts with various groups and individuals such as department directors, managers, and employees; co-workers; elected and appointed officials; local, federal and state government staff; attorneys; engineers; developers; property managers; venders; consultants; utility companies; citizen groups and the general public.

Attends in-house and outside training classes/seminars as required.
A Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, Engineering or a related field and 3 years of progressive GIS experience preferred. Or, equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and ability will be considered. GISP Certification highly desirable. Thorough familiarity and demonstrated competence in ESRI ArcGIS software and solutions. Must have good communication skills and able to establish good working relationships with departments, venders, elected and appointed officials and the public.
Must possess a valid SC state driver’s license.
