SBA Regional Sales Manager manages a team of lending officers that generate Small Business Administration (SBA) government-guaranteed loans and lines of credit. Develops relationships with a network of financial professionals and other referral sources to identify prospects. Being a SBA Regional Sales Manager engages with clients to ensure their ongoing needs are addressed and to understand the broader needs of the small business community in the region. Regularly monitors and reviews the current SBA loan portfolio to identify issues. Additionally, SBA Regional Sales Manager maintains an up-to-date knowledge of SBA products, rules, and regulations. Establishes operational processes that conform with SBA SOP guidelines. Provides coaching, training, and development opportunities for banking officers on the team. Requires a bachelor's degree in finance, business or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. The SBA Regional Sales Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a SBA Regional Sales Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Location: The Territory for this position is San Francisco, San Mateo, Alameda, Marin & Santa Cruz Counties, CA. The selected candidates MUST reside in San Francisco, San Mateo or Alameda Counties, CA

    How you will make an impact:

    The Regional Sales Manager IS Lead is responsible for serving as a lead for Regional Sales Managers in Individual Sales and for daily face to face broker sales calls and monthly training seminars for the individual under 65, and senior sales 65 market segments. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

    • Develops and implements sales strategies with home office senior management and brokers to increase individual, senior, and specialty sales within their respective territories and those of new RSMs.
    • Works with new RSMs for mentoring and training as well as with Regional Sales Directors and RVP to deepen territory management skills.
    • Conducts monthly broker training seminars.
    • Has strong knowledge of the individual and senior market segments including individual plans, Medicare Supplements, Medicare Advantage, and Part D programs.
    • Maintains a strong field presence and builds relationships within the healthcare industry.

    Minimum Requirements: Requires a high school diploma and a minimum of 3 years sales and territory management experience as a current individual/senior RSM IS calling on brokers; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background. Active and current life and health Insurance license in good standing required or is required to be obtained and appointed within sixty (60) days of hire. Testing may be required to qualify for this position.

    Preferred Qualification, Skills & Experiences: BA/BS preferred. Bilingual English/Chinese or Mandarin is extremely highly preferred.

    For candidates working in person or remotely in the below locations, the salary* range for this specific position is $53,592 to $87,696
