The Production Planning & Scheduling Manager will be a highly organized and detail-oriented individual that will play a critical role in creating, coordinating and optimizing the production planning and scheduling process in partnership with key Operational and other cross functional leaders. The Production Planning & Scheduling Manager will be responsible for developing, maintaining & optimizing production schedules, managing inventory levels, and collaborating with various departments to ensure seamless production flow. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, exceptional multitasking abilities, and a keen eye for process improvement.
Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the entire Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process, ensuring alignment between sales forecasts, production capacity, and financial plans across different departments within a company, with key responsibilities including facilitating cross-functional collaboration, analyzing data to identify risks and opportunities, and driving decision-making to optimize supply chain efficiency and profitability.
Develop and maintain production schedules:

Create and update production schedules based on customer demands, resource availability, and production capacity.

Coordinate with the production team to ensure schedules are communicated effectively and executed efficiently.

Analyze and address any potential scheduling conflicts or bottlenecks to minimize downtime and optimize productivity.
Monitor and manage inventory levels:

Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure an adequate supply of raw materials and components to support production schedules.

Regularly review inventory levels, identify any discrepancies or shortages, and take necessary actions to mitigate risks and maintain optimal stock levels.

Implement inventory control measures to minimize waste, reduce costs, and improve overall efficiency.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams:

Work closely with the sales, engineering, and procurement teams to gather information on customer orders, delivery dates, and product specifications.

Liaise with the production, quality assurance, and maintenance departments to address any production issues or equipment maintenance requirements that may impact schedules.

Coordinate with the shipping and logistics team to ensure on-time delivery of finished goods and resolve any transportation-related challenges.
Continuous process improvement:

Analyze production data, identify trends, and propose improvements to enhance production efficiency, reduce lead times, and optimize resource allocation.

Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track production performance, identify areas for improvement, and drive operational excellence.
Documentation and reporting:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of production schedules, inventory levels, and any relevant production data.

Generate reports on production performance, including key metrics, adherence to schedules, and any deviations or variances.

Present reports and updates to the management team, highlighting achievements, challenges, and proposed solutions.

Bachelor's degree in required; Preferably in operations management, industrial engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

Minimum of 8 years of experience as a production scheduler or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.

Minimum of 3 year of leadership experience is required
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and resolve production-related issues.
