Job Summary:
The School Nurse coordinates the school health program including the delivery of services to students and serves as the health resource to staff members in order to enhance health and wellness in the school community. The school nurse duties are to be performed in accordance with standards of professional school nurse practice, Illinois state board of education policies and procedures and the State of Illinois Nurse Practice Act.
Rate of Pay:
School Nurse $28.25/hour
School Nurse with IEP Designation $37.37
Qualifications:
- Illinois Educator License with School Nurse endorsement required
- Registered Nurse License, Illinois required
- Current First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation program completion
- Illinois Certification as a Vision and Hearing Screening technician
- Computer literacy and competency in use of existing technology
- Candidates who do not possess the Illinois Educator License with School Nurse endorsement will be considered if the candidate holds a bachelor's degree in nursing and no qualified candidate possessing the license is found
