School Nurse
Position Summary:
The Foote School seeks a licensed Registered Nurse to serve the health and wellness needs of the school community. The School Nurse is called upon to manage existing student health needs as well as to provide first aid and preventive health services to students, addressing both physical and emotional health concerns as they arise during the school day and during our after-school program. Initiating and promoting school-wide health initiatives is an important part of these positions and may involve some classroom teaching. The ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with students, parents, and all members of the school community is critical to the position, as is the ability to exercise thoughtful professional judgment and handle emergencies in a calm and professional manner. This role reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer.
The School Nurse role requires managing highly confidential information, superior administrative and organization skills, and comfort with problem-solving under pressure. This position requires strong interpersonal and communication skills and flexibility to balance day-to-day priorities with longer-term goals and projects.

Compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. This is a full-time, 10-month, salaried exempt position. The school year hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., with summers and school holidays off.
Salary Range: $45,000-$65,000 annually.
