Job Description:
The Associate Principal will serve as an instructional leader of the elementary school to secure the best-possible educational opportunities for students. This individual will administer the elementary school according to the policies of the Board of Education and the administrative directives of the district; take an active role in planning, initiating, refining, and evaluating the instructional and operational programs of the school; provide visionary, child-centered, and inspirational leadership to elementary school staff; and demonstrate strong communication and people skills.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate for this position should possess the ability to foster a professional learning community and engage staff in creating a positive and dynamic learning environment focused on student achievement.

Candidates must possess Wisconsin DPI licensure #51, or be eligible to obtain the proper licensure.
Compensation:
Annual compensation is dependent upon qualifications and experience. This position includes an excellent benefit package.
The Ashland school community is rich in its diversity, educational institutions, and outdoor recreation opportunities. The district encompasses 500 square miles, including the city of Ashland and several outlying townships. The city of Ashland is a community of about 8,000 residents, with another 8,000 in its outlying townships. Our community is home to Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College and Northland College, both of which have strong relationships with the district. The community is supportive of education, athletics, and the arts. In April 2016, the community passed a $34 million building referendum to update all schools in the district, as well as to add new educational spaces and a 60,000 square-foot field house. The community is diverse in terms of racial, socioeconomic, and political demographics.
