Principals in the Lansing School District oversee and own all aspects of their school including instruction, culture, budget, policy, and community engagement. A Principal develops teachers through observations, professional development, and evaluation while also owning all student outcomes at the end of each year. They will develop relationships with students and families, creating and leading schoolwide behavior intervention systems. Principals in Lansing also own their school's budget, so they are able to make adjustments as needed throughout the year to best meet the needs of their building and families. Principals lead all of our schools forward and own all aspects of their school community.
