    POSITION SUMMARY:
    Plan, direct and coordinate, usually through subordinate supervisory personnel, activities, and safety concerned with the construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems.

    Essential Functions Statement(s):
    • Confer with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, and design professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints, and construction problems. 
    • Plan, organize, and direct activities concerned with the construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems. 
    • Schedule the project in logical steps and budget the time required to meet deadlines. 
    • Determine labor requirements and dispatch workers to construction sites. 
    • As a direct representative of the company you inspect and review projects in strict compliance with the contract drawings and specifications such as building and safety codes and other regulations. 
    • Interpret and explain plans to administrative staff, workers, and clients, representing the owner or developer. 
    • Inspect the work performed on a continual basis. 
    • Direct and supervise workers. 
    • Study job specifications to determine appropriate construction methods. 
    • Oversee workers who complete specific pieces of the project, such as painting or plumbing. 
    • Requisition supplies and materials to complete construction projects. 
    • Prepare agendas for and conduct weekly subcontractor meetings
    • Prepare daily reports through the web-based project management system
    • Prepare 3-week look ahead schedules
    • Keep administrative staff, informed of project progress, safety compliance issues, and construction of deficiencies.
    • Develop and implement quality control and safety programs. 
    • Take actions to deal with the results of delays, bad weather, or emergencies at the construction site. 
    • Investigate damage, accidents, or delays at construction sites, to ensure that proper procedures are being carried out. 
    • Evaluate construction methods and determine the cost-effectiveness of plans, using computers. 
    • Maintain as-built drawings for all trades through completion of the project.
    • Perform additional assignments as needed.
     
    Site Superintendent, QA/QC, and Safety and health officer duties as described below:
    Site Superintendent:
    • Manage the construction forces.
    • Ensure the coordination and flow of labor and resources to produce a quality project.
    • Enforce schedule and project controls leading to a quality job.
    • Monitor Workmanship.
    • Daily management and technical direction of subcontractors.    
    • Monitor progress and quality.
    • Anticipate and plan workarounds for potential job impacts.
    • Evaluate, respond to, manage and execute change orders.
    • Ensure delivery of critical path items for the job.
    • Evaluate construction team performance, and correct issues regarding timeliness, quality and safety.
    • Provide input on schedule and budget.
    CQCSM
    • Develop and Implement Site-Specific QA/QC Plan.
    • Execute 3-Phase CQC process for all work.
    • Conduct inspection/tests.
    • Prepare DQCRs.
    • Review/Transmit all submittals.
    • Advise team on quality issues.
    • Coordinate quality of all subcontractors and suppliers.
    • Enforce corrections- stop/remove non-compliant work.
    • Report non-compliance.
    • Ensure work in place conforms to specifications and requirements.
    SSHO
    • Develop and implement SSHP.
    • Ensure a safe project site for performing quality work.
    • Train, guide, and advise personnel on safety issues.     
    • Stop Work Authority.
    • Conduct safety inspections, and weekly safety meetings.
    • Ensure compliance of personnel and practices with the H&S Program and requirements.

    • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED).

    Experience:
    •  Five to seven years of related experience.

    Certificates & Licenses:
    • USACE CQM Certification.
    • OSHA 30-Hour Certification.
