Position Details

The Board of Education for L’Anse Area Schools is in search of a new superintendent.

L’Anse Area Schools District is located in beautiful L’Anse, Michigan on the shores of Keweenaw Bay of Lake Superior. The area abounds with outdoor recreation including fishing, hunting, boating, camping, skiing, hiking, and snowmobiling, to name only a few. L’Anse Area Schools District covers a distance of over 700 square miles including the townships of L’Anse, Covington, Laird. The school district serves approximately 500 students from kindergarten through the twelfth grade who receive instruction in one building.

The district employs the following administrative positions in addition to the Superintendent: 1 K-5 Principal, 1 6-12 Principal, 1 Business Manager, 1 Maintenance/Transportation Supervisor, 1 Administrative Assistant and 1 Director of Student Services/Athletic Director.

Compensation will be commensurate with experience of the successful candidate and requirements of the position. A salary range of $ 95,000.00 to $115,000.00 has been established.
