Job Summary

The desired candidate will assume first level responsibility of assigned networks and computers. This individual may be required to work an on-call rotation which requires availability 24x365. This position is customer facing, requiring direct interaction; the individual will align requests with department goals – discussing changes with Sr Network Systems Administrator.

Responsibilities

• Monitors multiple network segments ensuring maximum availability
• Maintains thorough documentation on assigned systems and networks
• Ensures adequate availability of network equipment at Retailers, Tracks, and CGO’s
• Configures switches, routers, firewalls and other network equipment
• Adheres to corporate standards for network device configuration
• Performs preventive maintenance tasks as assigned/identified
• Mentors field service technicians and computer operations staff on first tier network troubleshooting techniques
• Develops workflows and checklists for field service and computer operations staff on network related tasks
• Assists in Second and Third tier issue resolution
• May be required to travel to remote locations to troubleshoot equipment issues
• Installation of external antennas in support of CDMA technology
• Troubleshooting advanced issues with telecommunications provider
• Supports Office PC’s, and peripherals.
• Configure and support mobile devices
• Supports hardware and software issues.

Desired Qualifications

• 1-2 years lottery system operations or equivalent
• 1 year network device configuration (Cisco) or equivalent
