    We currently have the following position available at our Knoxville, TN location:

    Scientist

    Develops fundamentals for new opto-electrical and electro-mechanical sensor solutions to meet market requirements in the areas of textile quality and monitoring systems.

    • This position is in the research and development department, working with multidisciplinary team in developing innovative new technologies for use in measuring and monitoring textile quality
    • Design and develop new electro-optic sensors utilizing spectroscopy and optical design, operating in UV, visible and infrared regions
    • Develop signal processing algorithms for the newly designed optical sensors along with the software implementation
    • Testing, characterizing and improving of the accuracy and repeatability of the sensor/algorithm
    • Practices hands-on-work in combination with theoretical work.

    Position Requirements

    • M.S. in physics or engineering required; Ph.D. strongly preferred.
    • Minimum of five (5) years’ work-related experience.
    • Strong background in optics and related technologies.
    • Previous coding experience required
    • Experience in performing feasibility studies.
    • Communicates clearly and effectively with team members at all levels.
