Scope of Work:
Capio Group is looking for an experienced Scrum Masterto work as part of a team to provide Information Technology support to the client services that are currently supported by multiple client systems that duplicate data and functionality in silos preventing cross-analysis and lacking the support of modern work automation tools for facilitating process improvement. The team will be responsible for successfully supporting the system within the agreed-upon schedule and standards, focus on driving process improvement and standardization efforts to enhance efficiency, reduce redundancy, and streamline workflows across systems. The client aims to modernize the systems that will be better equipped to address outcome disparities, ensure high quality services, collaborate with accountable partners, report on key outcomes, access, and delivery metrics and also support innovation and payment reform.
As part of the team, the Scrum Masterwill be responsible for tasks including but not limited to:
- Completion of new custom modules or applications as outlined for the recommended solution. Digital Support Services to provide Agile development support and coordination across technical teams
- Program Support services to support legacy processes while redirected Program resources support newly developed systems
- IV&V oversight
- Involves Identifying inefficiencies, implementing best practices, and fostering collaboration among stakeholders to ensure consistent processes
- Improve data accuracy, facilitate better decision-making, and support long-term scalability by standardizing workflows
- Deliver projects and products using the appropriate Agile project management methodology, learning and iterating frequently
- Lead the collaborative, dynamic planning process, prioritizing the work that needs to be done against the capacity and capability of the team
- Ensure the project is compliant with the policies
- Ensure project and SDLC documentation is properly developed and maintained
- Maintain and monitor Agile reporting artifacts for the Sprint Team and communicate team progress and status
- Lead the planning and execution of the project
- Authors project documents (e.g., charter, project plan, change request, closing documents) based on client processes and templates
- Manage project risks, issues, and decisions
- Prepare monthly Project Status reports
- Inform project stakeholders of project status and escalate project risks and issues
- Enhance the client’s Framework to leverage best practices and lessons learned
- Facilitate the development of a Product Vision, Product Roadmap, User Stories, Release Plan, with the Product Owner and Architecture Owner
- Helps Product Owner and team with Product Backlog management
- Write and/or split user stories
- Write or adapt product visions
- Develop release planning
- Coach team on project processes including task management and Agile Practices
Mandatory Experience:
- Within the last 10 years, must have a minimum of three (3) years of experience managing large scale & complex IT systems* in an agile environment
- A “large and complex IT system” is defined as:
- At least $20M in total project cost;
- A solution that has at least one hundred (100) internal end users and one hundred thousand (100,000) external users; and
- A solution that provides a secure data exchange interface with multiple external systems
- Within the last 10 years, must have a minimum of three (3) years of experience working on projects involving organizational change management and business process improvement/re-engineering initiatives
- Should possess a current and valid Scrum Master certification (CSM) from Scrum Alliance or Project Management Institute Agile Certified Practitioner certification. A copy of certificate must be provided upon request
- Within the last ten (10) years, must have a minimum of three (3) years of experience performing as IT Project Manager in an Agile IT software development project
- Within the last ten (10) years, must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience performing duties as a Scrum Master in the following
- Leading technology Agile teams using iterative and incremental development approaches
- Facilitating Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, sprint planning and sprint retrospectives
- Establishing flows with the product Kanban
- Planning and implementing process improvement initiatives
- Establishing Agile backlog tracking, burndown metrics, velocity, and task definitions
- Experience leading teams responsible for software development best practices, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and implementation
- Supporting highly complex Information Technology projects through cross-functional teams using an Agile/SAFe methodology
- Leading sprints and driving the team to overall success by enacting and coaching teams on Agile/Scrum practices and principles
- Must possess a Bachelor’s degree. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis. A copy of the degree must be provided upon request
- Must provide at least two (2) references from previous engagements of similar size, scope, and type of service
- Within the last five (5) years, must have experience working with the Medicare/Medicaid/Medi-Cal program
Desirable Experience:
- Within the last ten (10) years, at least three (3) years of experience in writing and editing documentation such as: project management plans, communication plans, schedules, templates, procedures, and guidelines
