Typically reports to a supervisor. The Seamstress - Casino works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. - The Sewing Machine Operator is responsible for operating and tending to industrial machines.
- Responsible for sewing a quality product utilizing machines to meet customer specific requirements.
- Responsible for adherence to all quality systems and production requirements.
- Must be able to meet the daily productivity goals.
- Must be able to maintain equipment and maintain work area.
- First Shift 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.
Responsibilities:- Ability to sew a wide range of textiles at required productivity rates.
- Ability to thread, tension, and adjust stitch length. Effectively operate commercial sewing machines and be able to conduct routine sewing machine maintenance such as: Thread, Needle, Blade, & Bobbin changes, cleaning of thread or textile remnants from casings, oiling of machine, etc.
- Ensure that each part passed meets the customers’ quality expectations, and meets quality standards before leaving the workstation.
- Complete necessary paperwork and/or scanning that is required per station.
- Observe operations to detect any faults or defects in stitching.
- Ensure that the finished product conforms to the design and instructions provided in the work order.
Essential Skills and Experience:- High School diploma.
- 1 year of sewing experience.
- Must be able to quickly become familiar with the use of various computer applications.
