Responsibilities

• Operate sewing machines and other equipment to construct, alter, and repair garments.
• Collaborate with customers to understand their needs and preferences for custom fittings or alterations.
• Measure clients accurately to ensure proper fit and make necessary adjustments during fittings.
• Perform garment construction tasks, including cutting fabric, sewing seams, and finishing edges.
• Maintain an organized workspace and ensure all tools and materials are in good condition.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and offering fashion advice when needed.
• Utilize basic math skills for measurements, fabric calculations, and pattern adjustments.
• Stay updated on current fashion trends and techniques to enhance skills and service offerings.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Seamstress or in a similar role within the fashion retail industry is preferred.
• Proficiency in operating sewing machines and knowledge of various sewing techniques.
• Strong understanding of garment construction processes from start to finish.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
• Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations related to garment production.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
