Analyzes mortgage loan portfolios, securities, and mortgage-related investments and considers market trends and economic conditions to evaluate the risk and return of a loan sale or purchase. Being a Secondary Market Analyst creates reports and models to forecast asset performance and works with internal stakeholders to make recommendations. Complies with secondary market regulations and company protocols. Additionally, Secondary Market Analyst may require a bachelor's degree in a related area. Typically reports to a manager. The Secondary Market Analyst occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     POSITION SUMMARY

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • Requires attention to detail, ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and meet crucial deadlines
    • Maintain a high degree of discretion and confidentiality
    • Skills necessary to workindependently
    • Detail oriented with ability to multi-task
    • Strong organizational and computer skills, including proficiency in Excel, Word and ability to use proprietary software

    Qualifications


    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Accept rate locks for Mortgage Banking Division
    • Communicates with the Loan Officers and staff when locks are extended, cancelled, or change request occurs
    • Works with hedging services when locked loans are committed
    • Enters raw data in investors websites and loan origination software when loans are locked and committed
    • Gathers funding information from investor websites and funds the loan
    • Serves as back-up to Secondary Market Administrator
    • Manage own professional improvement through the utilization of the Quarterly Job Progress Plan
    • Engage in Landmark National Bank Culture initiatives and team success activities, Huddles and Hoopla events
    • Responsible for regulatory compliance as it relates to lending and loan servicing
    • Ensure timely responses to internal and external audit reports
    • Perform other duties and projects as assigned
