Being a Secretary may distribute mail, handle travel accommodations and maintain office supplies. Has basic word processing, spreadsheet, and graphics software skills. Additionally, Secretary requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Secretary possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job.     HOURS: Monday through Friday 7.5 hours per day plus a half hour unpaid lunch. This is a year-round position

    COMPENSATION: Per the Collective Bargaining Agreement located on the DY website.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
    • Provide secretarial and administrative support to the Principal and the entire school staff
    • Maintain the Principal's schedule
    • Maintains confidential files.
    • Interact with students, staff, parents, and the general public
    • Submit payroll sheets and supporting information to the District Payroll Office
    • Must maintain all budget fund accounts
    • Must prepare all purchase orders and maintain supply inventory for the school's needs
    • Must be respectful in all interactions with students and staff
    • Oversee the secretarial staff

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously
    • Must maintain confidentiality of student and staff information and records
    • Must have excellent clerical, secretarial, and technology skills
    • At least two years of relevant experience preferred
    • At least an Associate Degree preferred
    • Bilingual applicants are encouraged to apply
    • Citizenship, residency, or work visa required
