To be a successful Initial Assessor you must become able to do the following always:
Ensure a trauma informed focus on creating a safe and supportive environment for staff and those served through knowledge, sensitivity, respect, and a focus on resilience and recovery.
Support the permanency and cross-over case management teams by completing all initial child and family assessments.
Attend the Initial Family Meeting and introduce themselves and schedule the initial assessment.
Provide clear and transparent communication on the assessment process and purpose.
Conduct the initial assessments including but not limited to the family and child assessment, Child Stress Disorder Checklist-KS (CSDC-KS), Child Report of Post-Traumatic Symptoms (CROPS), and Ages and Stages Questionnaire – Social Emotional (ASQ-SE), safety and risk assessments, UNCOPE.
Follow Company Policy and Procedure and operate according to the Company’s Program Practice Guidelines.
