Job Overview
The Director of Security is responsible for overseeing and managing all security operations within the organization. This role involves developing and implementing security policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure the safety and security of personnel, assets, and facilities. The Director will lead a team of security professionals, coordinate with law enforcement agencies, and utilize advanced surveillance technologies to mitigate risks and respond effectively to incidents.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enforce comprehensive security policies and procedures to safeguard the organization’s assets.
• Manage daily security operations, including monitoring CCTV systems and conducting regular security assessments.
• Lead and train the security team in conflict management techniques and emergency response protocols.
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies to address any security threats or incidents.
• Conduct investigations into security breaches or incidents, documenting findings and implementing corrective actions.
• Oversee loss prevention strategies to minimize theft or damage to property.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to security practices.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging security technologies and trends.

Skills

• Strong conflict management skills with the ability to de-escalate tense situations effectively.
• Proficient in operating CCTV systems and other surveillance equipment.
• Background in law enforcement or military service is preferred.
• Relevant certifications in security management or loss prevention are advantageous.
• CPR and First Aid certification is required to respond effectively in emergencies.
• Excellent observational skills with a keen attention to detail for identifying potential threats.
• Strong leadership abilities to manage a diverse team of security personnel.
• Effective communication skills for interaction with staff, law enforcement, and external stakeholders.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $38,000.00 - $48,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
