Security Guard - Armed provides security and guards buildings, grounds, materials, work sites, or other venues. Monitors security systems and responds to alarms, reports of issues, or requests for assistance. Being a Security Guard - Armed patrols an assigned location. Follows required gate-keeping procedures such as verifying visitor credentials, conducting inspections, or preparing paperwork. Additionally, Security Guard - Armed may operate an access control or identity system to control building access. Completes shift activity logs and inputs to systems. Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Requires Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Typically requires Firearms Certification. May require a Security Guard License. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Security Guard - Armed works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Details about Job:parking lot settingEnsures and enforces all laws, rules, and policies within his/her scope of authority.Hours:Friday & Saturday 11pm-5amRequirements:Must be 21 years or older
Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
Must be a U.S. Citizen or provide documentation allowing residency and authorization to work.
Must provide a High Level of Customer Service
Some basic computer knowledge
Must be neat in appearance and grooming.
Must be able to pass a drug screening and background investigation.
Must have reliable transportation and phone.
Military and/or Law Enforcement experience preferred but not required.Must have 1-2 years of security guard experience.**Only those with current or prior Armed PPSB Licenses will be considered for this position**
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Current NC PPSB Armed License/Training Preferred. Priority will be given to those with current armed PPSB licenses.
