Security Guard - Unarmed jobs in Rock Island, IL

Digital Security Solutions, PLLC is hiring an Armed Security Guard to post guard locally and regionally. We are looking for organized candidates with a keen eye for detail who are trustworthy and can follow directions. As one of our team members, you will be responsible for the security and safety of our client's property and personnel. You will assist our clients with their needs and ensure they are satisfied, enabling us to succeed as a company.

Digital Security Solutions, PLLC is looking for an experienced Professional who can work full-time at our client's location in Milan, IL.

This position starts at $17.00 / Hour and is paid bi-weekly.

When the employee has passed their 180-day unarmed probation, acquired all of the necessary training, and gotten their firearm control card from the state, The employee will then start as an armed guard at $19.00 / Hour and will go to $20.00 / Hour after passing their 180-day armed probation.

Ideal candidates must meet the following requirements:

• All candidates must be 21 years or older with prior experience in security, law enforcement, corrections, or military service and must have a valid Firearm Owners Identification Card (FOID).
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must have a permanent employee registration card (PERC).
• Had a firearm control card (FCC) in the past or have been through the 20-hour armed course for security.
• Must have 3 years of weapons experience or weapons familiarization.
• Complete a background investigation.
• Complete a physical fitness test (PFT).
• Complete a drug test.

Schedule:

• Saturday through Wednesday – (2:30 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.).

• Exhibit effective communication and ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the public in the most professional manner.
• Display exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to handle situations at the client's site with a calm and de-escalating demeanor most efficiently.
• Surveillance skills and detailed orientation.
• Physical requirements must be met, including standing and walking for extended periods.
• Demonstrate high levels of Integrity and professionalism.

Job Duties and Responsibilities: Duties necessary to meet the minimum requirements of this position. Other duties may be assigned to you at the discretion of the supervisor:

• Provide armed security services to protect the health and safety of others.
• Assist customers, employees, and local law enforcement personnel courteously and professionally.
• Conduct regular foot patrols to ensure the safety and security of the facility.
• Enforce access control procedures.
• Report and respond to all incidents, accidents, or medical emergencies appropriately and professionally, and adhere to all post-order manuals.
• Provide First Aid, CPR, and AED to medical emergencies.
