Follows required gate-keeping procedures such as verifying visitor credentials, conducting inspections, or preparing paperwork. Additionally, Security Guard - Unarmed may operate an access control or identity system to control building access. Completes shift activity logs and inputs to systems. As an Unarmed Security Officer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients. Responsibilities:
1. Safety: Maintain, secure, and shield specific facility both physical space and patients.
2. Surveillance: Responsible for detecting and responding to suspicious activities and ensuring the facility remains at liberty of potential threats.
3. Customer Service: Interact with clients, employees, and visitors in a professional and courteous manner. Provide assistance and information as needed.
4. Emergency Response: Respond to emergencies, disturbances, and security incidents. Follow established procedures to ensure the safety of all individuals on the premises.
5. Incident Reporting: Oversee documenting and logging security-related occurrences and access records.
6. Collaboration: Strong liaison between the facility and external entites (law enforcement, supervisors, and facility enforcement) to develop, review, and implement security protocols.
7. Maintain Order: Enforce property rules and regulations to maintain order and ensure a secure environment.
8. Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with the security team, supervisors, and other relevant personnel.
9. Training: Participate in ongoing training to stay updated on security protocols and industry best practices.
10. Adherence to Policies: Adhere to company policies, procedures, and ethical standards at all times.
Requirements:
1. High School diploma or equivalent.
2. State-mandated security guard license (if applicable).
3. Proven experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field is a plus.
4. Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
6. Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently.
7. Basic computer skills for incident reporting.
8. Physical fitness and the ability to stand and patrol for extended periods.
9. Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
