Ambassador Worldwide Protection Agency is seeking an experienced Operations Manager for our Memphis district with a proven history for providing exceptional security solutions and organizational growth.  Ambassador Worldwide Protection Agency, Inc., is a leading U.S. Government security contractor, seeking a skilled professional leader with at least 6 – 10 years of relevant verifiable business and account management experience in the contract security government contracting sector.   

The ideal candidate will possess specialized skills in contract identification and development opportunities, responding to Sources Sought inquiries, government agency contracting opportunities and RFP development and responses, able to read and understand the scope of work (SOW) and respond to outlined pricing requirements without leaving money on the table. 

Must be able to remain calm in fast-paced and stressful situations. Demonstrates attention to detail and is diligent. Must be able to work well independently and have strong project management skills. Must be able to communicate well with upper-level management and subordinates alike and must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
 

Operations Manager Qualifications, Role and Responsibilities: 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Enforcement of company policies, procedures, regulations and legislative compliance. 
• Identify and develop contract opportunities to expand our reach and impact in the Memphis area and surrounding areas. 
• Respond to Sources Sought inquiries and government agency contract opportunities. 
• Develop new business, government and commercial, that fits our company business profile and offers margins of maximum profitability. 
• Develop comprehensive Request for Proposal (RFP) responses. 
• Develop a security budget. Develop security KPIs. Measure and track departmental success regularly. 
• Precisely interpret and comprehend scope of work (SOW) details. 
• Compute and respond to outlined pricing requirements accurately to maximize profitability. 
• Build new business by seeking new client accounts which fit the company service model and select oversight supervisory team members to ensure efficient and successful contract execution and ongoing management. 
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and successful contract execution. 
• Must be able to collaborate with Human Resources (HR) team members to hire and onboard new management, supervisory and line-level staff to ensure quality talent selection, interviewing and onboarding occurs in an efficient and expeditious manner to ensure successful contract execution and proper manning. 

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an operations manager or in a similar role, ideally within the security or defense sectors .
• An understanding of U.S. Government contracting processes and regulations.
• Results-oriented mindset with the ability to work autonomously and meet strict deadlines.
