Server Job Description:

Red Robin is seeking a reliable and motivated individual, 21 years or older, to join our team as a Server. As a Server, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service to our guests while serving food and beverages, including alcoholic beverages, in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver excellent Guest experiences for up to ten tables simultaneously while maintaining a fun atmosphere.
• Serve food and beverages promptly and accurately following Red Robin's standards.
• Practice safe food and beverage handling and maintain cleanliness at all times.
• Possess full knowledge of the Food and Beverage menu to provide informed suggestions to Guests.
• Partner with Service Partners to pre-bus tables and maintain dining area cleanliness.
• Complete required side-work and perform light restaurant cleaning in a timely manner.
• Communicate effectively with Guests and handle their concerns professionally.
• Accurately input orders through technology and handle transactions efficiently.
• Adhere to schedule and be punctual for shifts.
• Operate effectively in a team environment and escalate issues to the manager on duty when necessary.

Service Partner Essential Functions:

• Deliver food to Guests promptly while displaying excellent service skills and menu knowledge.
• Assist in maintaining dining area cleanliness by pre-busing tables and performing light cleaning tasks.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers and Guests, especially during high-stress times.
• Practice safe food handling and maintain cleanliness standards at all times.
• Adhere to schedule and be punctual for shifts.  
• Operate effectively in a team environment and address Guest concerns promptly.

Physical Effort:

• Lift up to 10lbs constantly, up to 25lbs frequently, and up to 50lbs occasionally.
• Perform frequent reaching, grasping, standing, and walking.
• Exposed to cleaning chemicals; color and depth perception required for vision.
• Frequent hand washing required.

Other Functions:

• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Adhere to company uniform and appearance policy.
• Wear personal protective equipment as required.

Qualifications:

• High School degree or equivalent preferred.  
• Minimum six months serving experience preferred, ideally in a high-volume full-service restaurant

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Strong knowledge of restaurant concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team.

Working Conditions:

Equipment: Computer, calculator, desk supplies, cash drawer, coffee machine, bottle opener, glass racks, dish machine, telephone, food product.

Work Environment: Typical restaurant environment with varying temperatures.
