Summary
We are looking for a Production Manager that is technically expert as well as people savvy to work in our Northern Florida manufacturing plant. To perform well, you must be knowledgeable and able to utilize all your resources. A successful candidate will be self-motivated with excellent communication skills to mentor, motivate and grow our production teams. Specifically, the role manages, oversees and coordinates activities of production employees in processing materials or manufacturing products in the organization by performing the following duties personally and through subordinate Lead personnel under the direction of the Director of Manufacturing. Works collaboratively with all departments to expedite and monitor status of the flow of material, parts, and assemblies within the plant environment; solves technical, process and production challenges utilizing Engineering resources. Supports a culture of customer satisfaction and quality work.

Supervisory Responsibilities
A seasoned, experienced leader who can select, teach, coach and mentor a workforce to support quality-driven, customer focused operations. High energy and action oriented, driven individual to manages employees in the Production areas either directly or through subordinate Leads, Expediters and/or Supervisors. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, training and evaluation of these employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's procedures, policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems, with assistance of Human Resource staff if needed. Must have ability to supervise Lead Personnel and interact effectively with other departments.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree (BA) from a four-year university is desirable; a two-year degree is required. In addition, a minimum of five (5) years related experience in production management is required. Experience and/or training may be substituted for education requirements beyond the two-year degree if the manager has experience specifically in the electronics or manufacturing industry, preferably in contract manufacturing. Electronics Certification or electronics military training highly desirable.
