Service Contract Administrator prepares, reviews, administers, and tracks service contract proposals and renewals. Explains service terms to customers and answers questions about contracts. Being a Service Contract Administrator secures necessary approvals and ensures that the standard contract terms are followed. Escalates issues involving customer claims about service to management. Additionally, Service Contract Administrator may participate in review of customer issues and may recommend modifications to the services or terms. May assist with contract negotiations. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Service Contract Administrator gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Experience in all the areas below is not required but a genuine desire to learn these areas is a must.
Responsibilities:
• Participate in internal and external meetings, prepare correspondence, and develop critical interfacing with company departments, outside counsel and regulatory officials.
• Maintain the Company's database of contract templates
• Draft contracts using Company’s contract templates
• Revise and maintain documents during a collaborative review process
• Help prepare discovery requests in all types of litigation including regulatory, employment and commercial transactions.
• Work with the General Counsel in maintaining key dates in the legal calendar.
• Facilitate document maintenance, storage, collection, and distribution.
• Work with the General Counsel in coordinating the Company’s response to litigation discovery and other document request.
• Research and summarize relevant federal and state legal issues using Lexis and website sources.
• Review contracts to identify key provisions and assist with due diligence in acquisitions.
• Possess solid analytical skills for the law and the facts; exercise sound judgment, be organized, or help work prioritizations.
• Be an active contributor of thoughts and ideas on how to do things better or reach win/win solutions and be proactive in taking steps to learn the business and areas of the law.
• Have strong skills in Microsoft Office offerings (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications
• A bachelor’s degree, associate degree and/or relevant equivalent experience in commercial transactions, real estate, contract reviews, document handling, and research required.
