GENERAL SUMMARY
Serves as a key member of the Operations Support management team, providing engagement, oversight and future operations of new nuclear for the Nuclear Generation organization. This position has direct responsibility for providing oversight of early development of new nuclear plants for the Nuclear Generation organization. Engaging with Energy Services and Development (ESD) GM/Managers and the new nuclear vendor personnel to ensure readiness for turnover of the new nuclear plant from ESD to the Nuclear Generation organization. This can include set up of programs, procedures, staffing and startup/commissioning of the new power plant. This position may also oversee projects needed to align the new nuclear programs to Columbia programs or vise-versa (i.e.: Quality Assurance Program, Corrective Actions, etc). The position will evolve and change as the new nuclear project matures and, in the future, will include addition of direct reports.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Provide leadership and management direction with the visions, strategic objectives, and key business initiatives for nuclear development and operation/generation.
Act as the primary representative of the Nuclear Generation organization for oversight and future readiness to operate the new nuclear plants developed and constructed by ESD. Ensuring the new nuclear plants are operated in accordance with all regulations, procedures, agreements and policies.
Assure the efficient and timely implementation of the programs and procedures required for turnover, startup/commissioning, operation, and maintenance of new nuclear plants.
Develop, execute and/or provide oversight for projects needed in the transitioning of the new nuclear to the Nuclear Generation organization. This may include managing vendors and/or supplemental personnel to the highest industry standards.
Work to eliminate organizational barriers, which can limit success. Look for ways to gain economy of scales between Columbia Generating Station and the New Nuclear plants creating efficiencies and cost reduction.
Develop current and future leaders through succession planning, use of developmental plans, and active mentoring and coaching.
Other Duties:
1. Must participate on the Emergency Response Team (ERO).
2. Must support the biennial refueling outage.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Requires a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field from an accredited college or university and ten years of nuclear power plant experience and a minimum of 4 years supervisor/manager experience;
OR an associate’s degree in a technical field or bachelor’s degree in a non-technical field from an accredited college or university and at least 14 years of operations, engineering, maintenance, nuclear security, and/or emergency preparedness experience with at least seven years in the nuclear industry;
OR a high school diploma/ GED and at least 18 years of operations, engineering, maintenance, nuclear security, and/or emergency preparedness experience with at least seven years in the nuclear industry.
Must have a thorough understanding of power plant operations, engineering, maintenance, and training. Must understand code and regulatory requirements as they relate to commercial engineering and plant maintenance.

Pay Range
$157,548.00 - $236,322.00 AnnualMidpoint:
$196,935.00Typically, selected candidates are hired between the minimum and midpoint of the range, based on applicable experience and qualifications, market rate, internal equity, and budgetary allowances.
Offers will be negotiated based on each candidate's qualifications.
Incentive Compensation
This role may be eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan. Incentives are earned based on employee performance against defined metrics and company goals.
