Set Designer designs motion picture or television production sets, signs, props, or scenic effects. Prepares scale drawings for use in construction, modification, or alteration. Being a Set Designer may require an associate's degree or its equivalent and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Additionally, Set Designer relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Experience with industrial equipment
Proficiency in taking and documenting field measurements on the shop floor
Strong attention to detail
Preferred Skills:
Experience with general arrangement drawings of industrial plant layouts and capital equipment design and drafting
Experience creating drawings from field measurements
Project management experience
Job Responsibilities:
Work under the direction of a Lead Engineer to support installation and start-up of large, complex industrial process equipment
Take field measurements and create equipment drawings to accurately document existing systems
Make changes to red-lined mechanical and electrical (schematics) drawings using AutoCAD (2D)
Assist the Lead Engineer with various engineering and project management tasks
Pay Details: $40.00 to $60.00 per hour
