Synergy's Shipping & Receiving Clerk takes pride in shipping and receiving of inventory, maintaining and verifying inventory counts, ensure quantity and quality of orders, maintaining, organizing a store room, and making daily deliveries with Synergy vehicle.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participates in the shipping, receiving, organizing, storing, and issuing of inventory including supplies and equipment for the purpose of assuring shipments are prepared and delivered in a timely manner.
- Drives delivery vehicle (cargo van) as needed for the purpose of transporting orders to designated locations.
- Cross trains with the Logistics to provide back-up as needed for logistics responsibilities.
- Load/unload delivery trucks and move inventory.
- Receives stock and non-stock items for the purpose of ensuring specifications, quantity and quality of orders are correct.
- Prepares orders by pulling from stock.
- Handles any delivery inconsistencies or delays.
- Responds to inquiries from staff for the purpose of providing information and/or direction regarding the status of deliveries, etc.
- Maintains documents, files, and records (e.g., tracking online shipping, equipment transfer forms, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities, and providing materials and reliable resource information.
- Maintains delivery vehicle (e.g., checking fluid levels, fueling, cleaning, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring safe operation of vehicle.
- Ensures sign out sheets are filled out every time a non-warehouse employee uses a Synergy owned vehicle.
- Track current inspection status and proactively takes vehicles for inspection. Inspection status is not lapse.
- Cleans store room for the purpose of maintaining a safe and sanitary work area.
- Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:- Requires a high school degree or equivalent.
- Requires a minimum of one year experience in shipping and receiving/logistics field.
- Requires a minimum of one year administrative experience in office setting.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:- Must have valid driver’s license.
- Knowledge of and experience with MS Windows, MS word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Focused on client success and satisfaction.
- Ability to follow processes and procedures.
- Must be resourceful and solutions-oriented under time constraints.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multitasking environment.
- Must be a team-oriented individual.
- Takes pride and ownership in work and performance.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:- Ability to lift 75 lbs. for the purpose of moving equipment or loading and unloading delivery trucks.
- Push, pull, and carry items and also climb ladders.
- Normal sitting, standing, and walking throughout the course of the day.
- Reads printed materials or from a computer monitor.
