Being a Shipping and Receiving Clerk uses shipping records to verify the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments and orders. Documents damages and discrepancies for future reimbursement and reconciliation. Additionally, Shipping and Receiving Clerk typically requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to supervisor. The Shipping and Receiving Clerk possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Description
This is a full time position in our Pembroke store. Duties include performing a variety of shipping and receiving tasks. Loads and unloads materials as well as verifying materials received are as ordered and routes incoming items to appropriate departments/locations. Employee will also be responsible for accurately pulling out bound loads and locating them for shipment. Minimum 2 years experience in the building industry. Excellent customer service skills a must. Weekend hours required on a rotating basis.
