Shipping and Receiving Clerk assembles orders and prepares goods for shipment. Receives, unpacks, inspects and stores incoming materials and supplies. Being a Shipping and Receiving Clerk uses shipping records to verify the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments and orders. Documents damages and discrepancies for future reimbursement and reconciliation. Additionally, Shipping and Receiving Clerk typically requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to supervisor. The Shipping and Receiving Clerk possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. What you get to do:
- The Shipping/Receiving Clerk is responsible for all data entry, checking of orders and comparison of loaded product to customer orders on all inbound and outbound shipments.
- Enter data for inbound shipments into warehouse management system and print pallet labels and pallet summaries for the checker to verify.
- Interact with truck drivers to check drivers into and out of our appointment system for outbound loads.
- Manifest and print bill of ladings for driver signatures prior to the freight departing from the facility.
- Must be familiar with personal computers
- Data entry experience
- Detail oriented
- Ability to work well under pressure is a plus
