Shipping and Receiving Clerk jobs in Little Rock, AR

Primary Purpose: Log all shipments and greet and sign-in guests. Receive all inbound manifests to ensure acceptability, accuracy, and quantity, shipping description, profile information and container quantity. Record all outbound shipments.

Essential Functions and Requirements:

• Ensures Health & Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes an acting in a safe manner at all times.
• Coordinating all traffic into facility
• Greeting and signing-in guests
• Working with drivers and visitors to the facility on a daily basis.
• Evaluate manifests (shipping documents) upon arrival.
• Work with plant personnel to coordinate all truck movements.
• Logging and reviewing all inbound and out-bound shipments and papers.
• Communicating with Clerical Supervisor and Customer Service regarding profile problems
• Scanning Manifest(s) into system.
• Maintaining various logbooks (Outbound log for liquids, solids, residual material on returning out-bound shipments, visitors, contractors, etc.)
• Primary data logging and manifest correcting (troubleshooting and editing)
• Typing; answering phones; filing; ability to multi-task
• Providing general support to supervisor and other department members

Education: High School diploma or equivalent

Experience: 1-year office experience required

Knowledge and Abilities: Must possess at a minimum intermediate skill in Excel, Word, Outlook. Must possess excellent organizational and time management skills; Data entry experience required; experience with transportation industry or shipping & receiving preferred. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.
